Whilst editing on the time line you can insert chapter points for later authoring, however not everyone uses Womble for authoring so it would be good if the chapter points could be exported to a file in simple text giving the time in hours minutes, seconds and frames to aid the creation of chapters in other packages.

Another program that I think Womble ought to collaborate with is VSO ConvertXtoDVD, I know at one level it is a competitor but many people use both programs and to be able to export chapter points directly to ConvertXToDVD would be a benefit IMO

If you have the chapter points marked on the timeline then

1) go into the DVD export option

2) right click on the title in the Video section within the Video Tree of the DVD tab and select the "Save Chapters List" from the drop down menu. A "Save as" dialog box will open that allows you to save the chapter information you mention as a text file. If you have several titles then repeat the process for each title.

3) You can now quit the DVD process if you don't wish to make a dvd at this point.

Thanks for that - I hadn't really explored as much as I should have.
I have found a bug in the export file - I loaded in a PAL MPEG2 1280 x 720 50Hz file - Properties report confirms details as does a MediaInfo file, however the chapter list reproduced says 29.97 fps. I have set Womble up to export the same format as the input using automatic. (just did a bit of top and tailing)
