The text editing buttons include the basic editing buttons such as cut, copy, and paste; and several extra control buttons specific to Womble EasySub, such as group, split, and merge.

The following is a list of their definitions.

Find/Replace to find/replace a word or a phrase in the text list.
Group to bind several text items as one group, for which any change such as display alignment, as well as display time offset adjustment on the waveform timeline.
Split to divide the current text item into two at the current time line; the original text will also be divided into two parts.
Merge to combine two or more consecutive text items into one, performing on both the display duration and the text contents.
Cut to delete the selected item(s) and save a copy in memory ready for the next paste operation.
Copy to save a copy of the selected item(s) in memory ready for the next paste operation.
Paste to insert/append a new text item(s) with the saved copy of a previous cut or copy operation.
Font to change/select font and color for the whole text list; and please note this change cannot be done for individual text items.
Text Edit to open the Text Edit Window

for editing the text in a less restrictive environment.
 

Edit buttons display control

Since the extra buttons of group, split, and merge are less frequently used, you may hide them via the options control of

      Hide the extra text edit tool buttons.

from the Options: Text List page.

The default selection for this options is on (checked), and only six edit buttons are displayed.

Please note that you can still easily access those three functions from the text list context menu.
