This small window is used to display the current playback position in the time code format.

For forward play at the normal speed, the time code display is updated approximately every second. For all other playback mode, the time code display is updated for every logical frame.

The time code display window can also be used to direct the video player to jump to any frame in the video. To request a jump, the user can enter the new frame position by typing it into the time code display window and then press the Enter/Return key.

When typing a jump position in the time code display window, the user can enter it as a time code or as a frame number. For time code input, the leading zeros may be omitted. For example, to jump to a new position at 1 minute 12 seconds and 7 frames, the user can enter either "1:12:7", or "00:01:12:07". Alternatively, the user can simply enter a frame number and the editor will convert it into the correct time code based on the video frame rate.
